There are three versions of United's 737-700. This version seats a total of 126 passengers. There are 12 United Business Seats, 36 Economy Plus and 78 Economy seats in this configuration. Row numbering is not sequential aboard all of United's 737 fleet.

I am not a big person (5'9") and 31F was tight especially with backpack under seat. Thank goodness flight was only ORD-CLE. Usually I get E+ but this was last minute trip. Highly recommend E+ upgrade if you can.

V3 configuration. Economy plus seat is ok. In terms of space and padding, its basically the same as a standard economy seat on an international flight, but with in-seat power for a PC. Worth a $75 upgrade compared with the very cramped economy seats on this plane (OMG!!)

On this version yes row 23 is Economy Plus however the window is misaligned and even on a short flight very uncomfortable.

The new United 737-700 V3 configuration is horrible. United reduced the seat pitch in Economy Plus and Economy to squeeze in 2 more rows (12 seats) of economy seats versus the V1 configuration. (Check the seat # totals.) I've flown the V3 configuration in economy for at least a dozen trans-continental flights in the past year, and they have been some of the most uncomfortable flights of my life. The seat back in front is less than a foot from my face even before the seat in front reclines, and it's very difficult to get in and out of the row. If you drop anything on the floor, you can't retrieve it until the person next to you gets up. The new seats are also very uncomfortable - the seat bottom is short and angled downwards so that your legs are not fully supported,the recline is limited (but given the tight pitch, it's probably a good thing), the seat back is concave without any lumbar support, the seat material is slippery, and there is minimal padding. The new seat arrangement is so tight I'm tempted to contact the FAA since it would be impossible for the economy seats on the V3 plane to be evacuated quickly in an emergency.

Flight on 1/21/18. Good seat with plenty of legroom. Right armrest is small and placed near rear of seat making it a little uncomfortable. Got very cold during flight and had to use my coat.

This seat was very comfortable. Tons of legroom and pretty much as close to 1st class. There isn't much recline, but if you're lucky to have no one sitting next to you, you're fine. Flew United from IAH to LGA. The plane was modern and looked brand new. Amazing lighting and a friendly crew on this flight. United needs to update the rest of their fleet now.

Very little leg room throughout the cabin

1A 1B are great seats as there is a cut in the bottom of the bulkhead, however 1E & 1F didn't have that cut so the legroom is very restricted.
